Por todo EUA, al cumplirse un mes de la masacre de estudiantes en Parkland, Florida, miles de estudiantes se saldrán de sus clases para participar en el National School Walkout, una protesta másiva que ha organizado Youth EMPOWER, un grupo de activistas jóvenes que participó en la Marcha de las Mujeres.
Según informa el HuffPost, se ha pedido a estudiantes y maestros que se retiren de los predios a las 10 a.m. en punto y permanezcan fuera durante 17 minutos. Cada minuto por uno de los jóvenes asesinados el 14 de febrero en Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Pide que el Congreso tome medidas de protección para proteger su integridad personal e implemente “legislación y reformas que respondan a la crisis de salubridad”, indica una nota en su página web. “Tenemos el derecho a vivir libres de temores y violencia en nuestra comunidad”.
